Drawing along with this stream...love it!
Roberto Cuesta
As per the stream, here are my 2024 goals: -As a beginner artist, I want to begin my portrait drawing journey to produce accurate and lifelike drawings, I want to enhance my understanding of structure, value and technique which I loosely know. Thanks! Onwards and upwards in this journey!
@rakugakirebel
My 2024 goals are to make connections with other creatives and to add more humanity into my art! I also hope to get into my dream college, and as I prepare my portfolio I'll keep polishing my skills.
@trashincan
my 2024 goals are improving in arts: portraits, colors, designs and concept art for my journey ahead. Also breaking out of my safezone and improve on my imposter syndrome
@ursamajorgamma
My 2024 goals is to continue doing consistent commissions and to complete a one shot/pilot chapter for a comic!

In 2024 I intend to improve how I render a face during my life drawing sessions. I've taken the Proko course which helped, but the ability to block in with a variety of ways will improve my technical skills.

2024: Do so many block ins that I make a finished drawing!

My goal is to make something that, a hundred years from now, someone, somewhere, might really enjoy looking at. I hope this doesn't sound pretentious.

I am a retired engineer. So... I've spent a lot of time creating detailed, accurate mechanical drawings (hand drawn and on CAD systems.) I've been participating in some "Drawing from Life" courses at my local community college; which are going well but my background does show. My goal for 2024: to loosen up a bit! I would like to feel good about using gesture and blocking.

My goal for 2024 is, now that I’m not embarrassed by my portraits, to get to the point where I am more intentional about how I make the portraits.

Goal for 2024 – Work at becoming the best artist I was meant to be, my personal best :-)
Louise Hicks
2024 goal would be to draw and paint well enough to allow me to make a living in my studio so that I can get doggy kisses in the middle of the day too!
@cjhansen717
My main 2024 goal is to build a daily art habit and to approach my practice strategically so that it is deliberate and as effective as possible. Steve Huston and Bryan Mark Taylor have some excellent ideas on breaking things down and approaching things like a scientist. You shared some awesome ideas on habits in the live stream, Stephen. Your hybrid approach would be very helpful to me. Right now I am mostly just value massing squinting down the light and shadow and it sometimes does feel slow. Thank you for sharing your time today.

For 2024 I want to get better at: 1. Kindness. Being kinder to myself in order to get past the lowly feeling of not creating the best artworks that I can produce. To improve my positivity, I will remind myself that even Michelangelo once said "I'm still learning". 2. 12 Paintings. I work full time and only have a few hours each week to dedicate to art. However, in 2024 I plan on drawing on lunch breaks and completing 1 painting per month. I'd like to end up with 12 paintings by the end of 2024. 3. Daily Value Studies. I'd like to apply some classic colour knowledge into my paintings. However, I must understand that Values come before Hue. Regular value studies, no matter how small or big, will grant me a lot of confidence when creating images from imagination. 4. Colour Paintings. I'd like to enforce some classic colour theory into my paintings directly. Whereas most of my paintings right now have been Grisaille based, with colour applied indirectly. I'm aware I may be biting off more than I can chew. More than likely this will become a task for 2025 :D

I've already fell in love with drawing and drawing people, so my goal for 2024 is to improve nearly 37per cent by the end of 2024. Also I 'm passionate about drawing what exists and what doesn't exist.

2024... my goal is to try out different tools, mediums and methods. I hope to find my own style, one I kind of fall in love with and it'll feel just right. In the long run, I'm aiming at inventing a concept for something between comics and a fine illustrated novel. It's a big goal and requires more years to achieve, but that's the dream :). Next year, it's going to be training basic drawing skills, trying out those tools, storyboarding and discovering my way to structrure a written story and combine it with drawings.
@veritasart02
Started drawing and painting this 2023, got alrightish in drawing and painting, far from when I begun. So my goals for 2024 are to get the technical knowledge so aid my better for the portraits I do. Draw and Paint even more, and explore the world of drawing and painting doing master studies, and sharing my art for critique and improvement. I learnt from stephens video when it comes to portraits a block in course would be increadibly helpful as someone who learns better watching videos (plus stephens calming voice which should be a strong contender for google assistant)
@veritasart02
thats how my drawing turned out while studying sidy by side :)
Ahmed Saada
I'm a beginner even though I used to draw because I draw without any concepts just trying to copy the reference, so my goals are first to learn to overcome the fear of starting on a blank paper and also to learn the basics and concepts that allow me to build up knowledge for being able to be meaningful and productive about my process of drawing and being able to learn faster and improvise in the application of the ideas and new concepts.
