Update: I visit occasionally and provide feedback here when I have time, but the Proko edition of the Shading Course is generally intended for self study.
If you want to work with me directly, I do provide personalized feedback in two 10-week cohorts per year over at theshadingcourse.com. I'm still trying to figure out how to bridge the gap elegantly between Proko.com and my platform. For the moment, you can join feedback cohorts as an add-on to your Proko course at https://www.theshadingcourse.com/proko-upgrade. Hopefully, there will be more interaction possible directly on Proko.com in the future!
Hi Dorian! This course looks super interesting. I would love to attend it but need a little guidance from you. I am a beginner/intermediate, I am very interested in shading, that's the part of drawing the draws me the most. I have never done any course on Proko. Do you think I need to do Figure Drawing Fundamentals first, before getting onto your course? Or can I jump onto this straight away? Will it be to hard for me? I am a digital illustrator so don't draw much with pen and paper. www.brunamartini.com for an idea of my level. Thanks for your help!
I took the course, not on Proko but the version on Dorian's website and no, you do not need to know figure drawing fundamentals. You need basic drawing and perspective understanding.

Long answer: I am running a Discord server, but it's currently only for students who join the course at my platform at theshadingcourse.com. I'd LOVE to give Proko students access as well, but haven't been able to figure out how to handle the resulting complexity.

Hi Chris, I won't add the recordings from past feedback sessions to the course on Proko because they include Zoom video feeds of students, but I will create new sessions here in the coming months.
Can you explain to us how the Shading Course, differs from your other course here on the Proko site? I already have your course, “Drawing Fundamentals: Accuracy, Values, & Light.” What would I be getting in this new course that wasn’t in the other one? Does the Fundamentals course have stuff that is not in here, or is it just an abridged version of this one? Are you recommending this course to people that already have the Drawing Fundamentals course? I am assuming this new course will go more in depth, and have more, and longer videos. But I just wanted to make sure that it does more than just add assignments that the other course didn’t have. Also I want to make sure that there is enough more to the lessons to justify getting, what I think is, something like the full version of the one that I already have.
I really enjoyed your Drawing Fundamentals course, which I believe is just a scaled down version of this course. I’m just trying to make sure that it is worth getting this one when I already have that one. If I didn’t already have the other one, I would just get this one without having to ask the question. Thanks in advanced for your time.

The Shading Course goes much more in depth with 27 lessons, 27 assignments, and 13 assignment demonstrations. The "Drawing Fundamentals" course contains a small part of what is in the Shading Course and the "Accuracy Guide" which is only in "Drawing Fundamentals".
Okay, actually I went ahead and bought it. It seems like it has a lot more to it than the other one, so I think I will be happy with it. But I still think it would be good if you let people know how this course is different than the other one. It seemed a bit unclear to me, so I am sure others are a bit confused as well.
I would like to know if you are going to make the transcription of the videos in a text file, as it happens with the Proko courses. The reason is that I don't understand spoken English, so to follow the course I take the text file and translate it.

Hi Aptic! I will add captions in English in Q1 2022. After that I might add captions in other languages or transcripts, depending on where more demand is. What language do you speak?
