Face it. The face is hard to sculpt. Let me show you how to break it down into manageable steps so that you can start to master portrait sculpting.

My first profile pancake. I’ll get more done this week. I ordered clay. I wasn’t thrilled with working with what I had.

Hey looking good! I wouldn't worry too much about the details like the eyelids and eyeball and focus more on things like the structure of the eye socket and the shape of the silhouette. Great start and I look forward to seeing more!

Hi Andrew! Cake artist here who uses cake and modeling chocolate for sculpting. I purchased your class to improve my skills, but the only clay I have is super sculpey (ugh)! Anywho, I would love your feedback on my first completed project from your course. I enjoy your energy and purchased because I truly enjoy your YouTube content!

Hey thanks! This is looking good. you can go a little further if you want with tiny pieces of clay to add some texture to the beard and hair and lay in the eyelids or you can be done with this study and move onto the next. The main thing is getting some repetition and practice so keep going! I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Hi Andrew, I have no experience in drawing or sculpting at all. I am very curious and interested to learn face sculpting. Can you please suggest me if I can join this or any other course that suits a beginner like me? Thanks in advance.
Andrew Joseph Keith
Yeah this course is good for anyone and I try to build it in such a way that someone can go form never having touched clay before to being able to sculpt a self portrait and portraits of others by breaking it down into smaller steps that are easier to follow. Obviously sculpting is a challenge and there is a lot to learn but if you're willing to do the assignments and practice regularly you'd be surprised how fast you can improve.

I'm kinda curious... I don't have much stuff to really do physical sculpting but I do think this should apply to digital as well. Maybe I could then sculpt my character designs
Andrew Joseph Keith
Yes any knowledge you build on the portrait will translate into whatever medium you’re using. You might even consider doing the assignments in digital and traditional.

Wow cant wait to do this - what duration is the total course please?
Andrew Joseph Keith
Do you mean how many lessons will it include? Or how long will the lessons be released? There’s probably going to be 50+ lessons/demos not including critique videos.
