@Jeremy Vickery Hello, is this course suitable for traditional painters? I don't have a drawing tablet, I just use a regular sketchbook to practice
Jeremy Vickery
This is really focused on digital painting techniques, so if you only have a sketchbook then it's not going to be the right course for you. But, the concepts I talk about in observing and replicating light will be relevant in any color medium. This would work for oils, acrylic, gouche. The only thing I wouldn't be able to help with is technique, as each medium has different processes. I hope this helps
Marta Witkiewicz
Is the course suitable for traditional painters wanting to learn about color and light? Can assignments be done in oil paint?
Jeremy Vickery
For observing light and seeing it's elements.... yes this could be done in oil paints. I started with oil paints before I did digital myself. But the course will only talk about digital techniques as it's an additive medium compared to the subtractive medium of paint

Jeremy talks about provided files but I can't find any downloads. Plus does he provide any brushes so we can use the same brushes he uses in his painting examples?
Michele Boceda
Always take a look under every Lesson to see if there's donwloads and yes he provide his brushes
@beowolf94a
Does this course include downloads for offline viewing?
Jeremy Vickery
No sadly, due to piracy issues in the past. Everything has to be viewed online

Do we need any brushes or do any come with the course?

@Jeremy Vickery If I already have some experience with light and shadow (just black and white), should I take this course or wait for painting light 102?
Kevin Vanderhoof
I would definitely encourage you to take this course. You will learn a ton. I promise you. I can't say enough about Jeremy's teaching methods. By far one of my favorite teachers in any medium.

@Jeremy Vickery Will there be some kind of feedback/critique on assignments?
Jeremy Vickery
At this point I do not plan to do critique sessions here on Proko but I may consider it in the future. I do offer critiqued workshops and individual mentorship on my own sight though if you are wanting to have more custom feedback
