I think you did pretty well on drawing the proportions from imagination. One thing that stands out to me personally is the lighting; It looks like it's coming from above and a bit from the right (judging from the cast shadows), but the strong light on her jaw and neck together with the halftones on her forehead makes it look a bit like the light is coming from a lower angle. Perhaps making the forehead lighter would've made the direction a bit clearer?
