Hi guys! Hope you are having a good day! This is my first post here, i want some critiques in this practice. I started first doing an asaro head study but finished in this with some of my visual memory. So i just used an asaro head for the light as a reference, I started in greyscale and painted it in a color mode layer on top. I started drawing from 0 in april of 2020, so im trying so many things at the same time, should i focus at things like this?

Lovely piece! The lost edges and the subsurface scattering are amazing. You should definitely do more stuff like this! :) For me, the biggest problem would be the ear and her hair. They got lots of texture so they take the attention away from the more important parts of the image. I suggest simplifying them much further. In painting get used to simplifying more textured parts of the image into single shapes. I added an example of one of my works, where I tried simplifying the shapes. It might be helpful :) For the ear try to use a softer brush so it doesn't get messy, maybe add one or two hard edges. I hope I could help. Keep up the great work! :)
