So i bought the portrait course, its good maybe different than what i had in mind.
Did this graphite drawing of Olivia, too bad i messed up aligments and probably some measurements but I didnt really notice it before "shading" so its too late lol.
Also lacks contrast but it was atleast a bit intentional.
Nice job!
I really like the shading on this portrait, and I think it conveys the form really well.
I also struggle with proportions and don't notice big mistakes until too late. I found that taking breaks while drawing and looking at your drawing from far away sometimes can help you find these mistakes.
Also, double-check that everything is correct before adding any details, cuz afterward you'd be more reluctant to erase things lol
Yes 😁 I was very close to the paper while drawing and noticed the mistakes immediately when looking from couple of meters away lol. I could have measured it more perfectly using measurement and whatnot but wanted to just use my eyes for practice and more like life drawing.
I've noticed that sometimes my subconscious stops me from taking a break or things because it knows there's a mistake but I'm too ...stressed maybe to fix things? Don't know lol
