How is my pulp style poster art?

Hi everyone,
So I need feedback on my pulp poster. It's for my own novel set in the 1940s, and involves some of my characters. I would be glad to know any of your opinions.

I like the idea of this cover, I always liked pulp covers (I also like tango!)
I noticed some things that had to do with drawing and placement that I thought would help your image without changing it much. I did a quick diagram and mock up to show you how you could fix some of these things. I hope you find it helpful :)

Thank you so much for the detailed and helpful feedback, I really appreciate the time and effort you took for it.
Now, based on your advice, I'm have started a new cover for my story. This one is more realistic and has changes based on the suggestions from you and my other friends. I'll post the WIP line art on the forums soon.
