Help!, Point me in the right direction

@vivek12
started drawing 2 months back with drawabox, right now I'm mainly learning from books suggested by marshall vandruff and nma.art.
please suggest me things that I should focus on or new things to try.
Ultimately I want to make things like the current proko.com's, dragon, clouds and volcano on island image.
There's a great reddit post that Proko mentioned a while ago in one of his Draftsmen podcast. It breaks down how you could self study to learn most of the fundamentals. I'll shoot you a link to it here. Hopefully, it will give you some ideas about what courses andd lessons are best to learn first.

Try doing proko’s bean and robo bean lessons to get into the hang of drawing the torso in perspective. Your box shapes look out of perspective, but you got the right idea of structure.
You are clearly focusing on the right things! Gesture and structure are key. Keep drawing and practicing those fundamentals the others mentioned below!
Hi! You're definitely heading in the right direction with drawing simplified forms, I can tell you've been looking at gesture and structure (rightfully so!), I think a big part of it is just to keep going. One thing I could suggest is maybe working a bit on forms and perspective. Just really taking the time to practice drawing cubes and cylinders from different angles before applying them to something complicated like a figure. There are just some perspective things to work out with some of your box shapes but it will start making more sense with more practice. Just keep up the good work!! :D
Hey Vivek,
It's only one drawing, but I can tell you that you are on the right track. All drawings come down to objects occupying space. Learn how forms occupy space, and you'll be able to figure just about anything out.
My big suggestion to people is make a comic. It can be a short story, but with a comic you have to draw what is in the script. You can't avoid anything. If the script calls for a character riding a motorcycle through a dystopian cityscape, you have to figure it out. And in figuring it out it will give context to all the stuff you're reading in the books Marshall suggests, which I agree, are great.
