Hey all! I noticed some users wondering about copyright and what kind of references they are able to use and post without violating a photographer's intellectual property rights. The solution is simple: royalty-free reference photos under the Creative Commons 0 license. You can use these photos as reference for your art for personal, educational, AND COMMERICAL use, without the requirement of attribution (of course it's always appreciated). There's some seriously amazing sites out there that give you unlimited downloads of free photos under this license, and I've written an article listing 11 sites for you to begin your reference-hunt. In the article I wrote, I also link an article not written by me that gives you nearly 50 more sites! My personal favorite is "Unsplash", but I urge you to give a look at each, because sometimes one single site doesn't have the perfect reference you need. If you're interested in learning more about the legal terms and the CC0 license, the sites have their own respective legal pages that assure you each photo is usable for free any way you'd like, as long as you don't try and sell the photo without doing anything to it.
