Not really my usual subject but i'm really enjoying this one!
It's probably 95% finished but i'll be happy to hear your opinions and critiques before calling it done!
Thanks ♥

Hi Marco,
oh damn, your portrait look fantastic. The expression is excellent. It's hard to believe, but I think, I found some points, where you could improve your masterpiece.
A really slight and soft bounce light on his face would give the dark side more clarity. In my opinion, it's to dark and difficult to read. That's my minor point.
The "bigger" point is his neck. I'm struggling with this area too and I can't draw the exact shadow for you. Your shadow looks wrong, thats what I can tell you ^^. Maybe my paintover can give you a guess what try to say.
I'm look forward to your finished painting.

Beautiful work! I love the colors and rough texture. I almost feel that changing the angle of the head just slightly downwards, such that the shadow shape under the eye on the lighted side of the face formed a triangle down to the nose a bit, that it would help the flow of the viewer's gaze. With the distinct rhythms of the horns and jaw/ears, even cheek bones and cast shadow of the head, my eye wants to be drawn down but feels interrupted by the light shapes. A slight down tilt would also make for a little extra dynamic in the expression as well! Of course, that would be a major change now, but hopefully the advice can be applied to future paintings as well.
I love how this head have a popping out look. The edges on the shoulders blends very well with the background, and the hair is so fluffy!
Also the temperature shift towards the tip of that ear. Very nicely done. I assume this is digital? It would be quite hard to have this kind of "blue gaze" when mixing traditionally...
I totally love the colours of the piece with the balances of light oranges and dark blues, with the yellow as a touch to break the shapes. The face is bright enough to distinguish between the body, but my eyes are pulled to the dark part of the chin next to the clavicle. Also, I couldn't see the eyes from far away, but I was pulled into the brightness that is the light of the face. It feels realistic and it looks wonderful. I could not wait for a finished release.
It's wonderful! I literally love the colours of this piece!
The only thing can be the shadow in the bottom-right corner: in my opinion maybe it's a little too dark and consequently the deltoid seems a little small... but can only be my tendency to always expect muscular characters when it comes to fantasy subjects :P
Really congrat, however: as I already sad, wonderful painting,ù
