Hi Guys,
I'm try to open my mind and just paint. No reference and just relaxing. But, to be honest, I still struggle with it. If you have a minute, I would really appreciate your feedback.
Thanks.

Update: what do you think about?
Hey there Thomas! I must say the portrait is looking pretty good. The placement of the features are very sound, and the lighting seems to be consistent. One tiny thing I'd just like to mention is that the tip of the nose looks as if its pointing a bit to the left. I think that it could be rendered a bit more to better communicate the form of the nose. But solid work nonetheless, keep up the good work!
Hey there! Amazing work! :) I did a small redraw.
First of all, you should always simplify shapes when painting. It's especially important on the hair. If you draw in every single hair, it's just going to be messy.
I know you did not use references, but there is nothing wrong with using them. If you get to a point where you can't seem to figure out how something works - in this case, the drapery on her head - just google a pic of a headscarf.
There are also some smaller anatomy mistakes: The nose bridge is usually a much softer transition, her upper lip should be smaller than the lower lip, and lastly, the underside of her nose is a bit messy, you should study that. Also, I attached a reference for the mouth corners. Those are very great places to hide some details and speculars.
I hope I could help! Keep up the great work! :)
I am not the best with faces although i would say what jumps out at me is the neck collar area having a lot of contrast and sharp edges pulling focus away from the face. Adding some shade and softer edges towards the bottom of the collar should help some to keep the viewer looking at the focal area. hop that helps <3

A "little" remaster. Know I'm happy :D.
This is looking gorgeous! I mean it when I say I don't see how you are struggling.
Is there anything specific you are finding hard to fix or do in the illustration?
