Hi guys proko and the watts atelier recommend the Conte 1710B for their courses, but I live in Chile and I can't get it here and shipping is too expensive. Do you guys know of a good alternative to the Conte?

Hey Ruben, you can pretty much use any charcoal pencils. They don’t vary too much.

You can look for pastel pencils with thick leads or use those pencils that are made enterily of graphite (be careful to not drop them, they break easily). The important thing is have a pencil that you can sharp in a way that you can use its point and its side to draw. Best regards

Hey Ruben. You can use any pencil to get started. You can use a different type of charcoal pencil or you can use graphite if you prefer. It is actually good to experiment with different pencils to find what you prefer.
