Hello there! One eye, three evenings, three attempts and three different tools, with varying results. For reference, I used Prokos Anatomy And Structure-lesson paused at 4:48 ish. Fun lesson, but it was a struggle. Just could not make the eyes look like the reference. Also could not get shades and values right. Should I use picture with less light next time? Help and suggestions are much appreciated. Cheers!

Something I personally found helpful in my struggle was shading more than outlining. I was able to go back in with an eraser to lighten any pencil that was too dark.

Here's my first practice eye for this part of the course. Feedback is welcome! I'm enjoying this course thus far.

Hi @ASHLEY SWINDLE, Nice job! I´ll try to look for things to improve on CONSTRUCTION At a closer glance, there´s something about the eye that makes it look a little flat. I think it is because you didn´t consider the sphere of the eyeball enough, around which the eyelids should wrap. When drawing an eye i like to first lightly indicate the eyeball, and then make sure that the lids are wrapping around it like the equator line on a globe AND A QUICK NOTE ON SHADING Try to be more clean with your tones, it will help the image read better. Watch out for spots of another value in an area that is supposed to be a single value I hope this helps, and good luck with the course :)
