I found this exercise to be very challenging!

That was awesome, really loved the nuanced discussion especially around choosing what kind of edges to use.

was there a link to buy a skull cast? did I imagine that?

I learned so much from this video! Amazing!

I chose two different artists with very different styles. I wasn’t using quite the right materials to get an accurate copy, but I learned so much doing this that I’m very happy with the results. I’d like to do more of these, for sure.

Oops the artist’s name and other info isn’t on the first screenshot - it’s by Albrecht Durer

The British Museum has their collection online, and you can filter down to drawings of different eras and countries, if you are struggling to know where to start. https://www.britishmuseum.org/collection

posting another one i did after watching the demo; I missed the mark on the one from observation before, I think, though I defnitely learned from it.

Too late for critique - was out of town. This one was really fun and challenging. I have never paid attention to this aspect of drawing before and it was really fun to play around with the depth approach on the drawing from observation (which was from a photo, so, cheating a bit. I’ll do more of these over the next week from observation for real, and post if they are post-worthy)

Its crazy that we can learn so much off of one assignment

OK, here’s my level 2s. Too late for critique and that’s fine! I decided to draw a meerkat having her morning coffee.
