My first and second attempt. before watching the demo. I am VERY novice and honestly quite embarrassed. I found this first lesson to be challenging to grasp, but I am posting because I am determined to learn and improve. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t have any tips for the art itself as I am also inexperienced, but I will say that you have no need to feel embarrassed! The fact that you were embarrassed and still willing to post it shows real courage and a willingness to learn. No ones first attempt will be amazing and i’m proud of ya for giving it your best shot! I also just began this course so I hope to grow alongside you and continue to see your art posted alongside mine. Art is fun! So don’t worry to much about how it turns out, and make sure to enjoy it (:

I found myself surprised with how happy I ended up being with the final product here! I feel like I definitely could have done better with the darkest areas and the lightest areas, as the shadow ended up very harsh, and the areas that are meant to be reflecting the most light don’t really feel as though they are. Any tips or criticisms would be appreciated!
