Hey Luke! I think that this is an awesome start! I am in no way a master at the Loomis head myself, but I think that you should try to limit the sketchiness of your lines. Try to make the circle of the cranium in one line, I struggle with this too, and to help I try and do drawing warmups like drawing lines or circles before I start to draw. Overall, great work and keep it up! ;D

You are off to a great start here. I am happy to see your willingness to experiment and push yourself. Somethings things to consider is practicing your circles (I recommend during your warm ups). It doing not have to be a perfect circle, same height and width is just fine! Mileage is important so if you are doing circles everyday, very soon you will be doing awesome circles.
Another thing to consider is your "chicken scratch" in which you use many lines to make one line. It'll help you immensely in the long run. Here is a video that may help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Q7IcBvBGtY
As other people have side, proportions as also a thing to keep in mind. You do not need to eye ball this right away, in fact you shouldnt.
Other than the line feedback I recommend you disregard having a pretty loomis head for now and instead draw a square, with that square draw a circle that touches all for walls. From here you should either mark or divide your circle into 6th and follow along with Stan. Once you feel comfortable with squares and circles level up to spheres in cube (although I have difficulty with this) or just do spheres.

nice man keep it up, my advice would be to pay more attention to the proportions and do a lot of this, you can use it as a way to warm up before you start drawing. hope it was helpful!

Hey Luke,
Looking good for your first attempts.
Remember what Stan talked about the head fitting into a box. It helps to box up the heads to figure out how they are being governed by perspective. I also find that with extreme angles, putting a box around the head helps tremendously.

Doing great! The more you do the better it will be.
