A painting I made during #pleinairpril. Done from a reference photo of the Japanese countryside. I made an effort to push shape and color much farther than what was present in the photograph.

My final assignment for WB2 with Kenny Vo. My project was based around Star Guardians, loosely inspired by Riot’s skin line for League of Legends. I plan to take my universe much further the future and exploring characters and the world itself! I received good feedback to push these further than I had been able to previously. biggest issue pointed out to me was that the dark sections are simply too dark, and you lose clarity. I do plan to fix that in the future but for the time being, these are the final results.

Another sequential storytelling assignment for WB2 with Kenny Vo. Kenny is a really great instructor, I received a lot of helpful feedback to push through roadblocks. this painting series i titled “Call of the Void”, where one day love rafting demonic voices were able to communicate and call communications devices. When people answered the phones, they were driven to madness or pulled to kill those around them. Our main character, Chloe, is deaf and as a result can not hear the calls. She explores the aftermath by traveling the country searching for answers.
