I have used 2 of the provided poses. In case they don't download properly, both are male poses, both posterior, one holding a sledge hammer.

I am using the Pose as a guide and drawing the gesture lines over this image. I love this still shot of Vigo Mortensen in "Apaloosa." His pelvis is arched, his chest is open and he is signaling control and force as he prepares himself for a gunfight. Previous to this scene, Vigo portrays an this character as an introvert, usually seated or crouched, quiet, disappearing. A very dramatic scene because of his body language, what he is signaling to himself and his opponent and his intention. This is the idea, the story of my gesture interpretation.

First attempt. It took about 40 min! Yes, 40! Good news is I have a fully functioning hand, arm, shoulder. It is my comprehension of the concept of gesture that took so long. I did 4 previous attempts of the same pose which took even longer! So, I switched to Procreate, and it saved time with erasures. I am very excited because this is an adventure......no detail, border lines, etc. I am WAY out of my comfort zone and it is very exhilarating for me!
In case my original photo does not upload, it is the pose of a large woman in Michael provided in the downloads section. I drew over the photo as a crutch to help me make the effort.

I used newsprint and pencil. Thanks for teaching this way of giving structure to the human form. It was new to me; I struggled and now feel much more confident. I have a system! thanks, Michael.

Pencil on smooth newsprint. Took more than 10 hours to understand these simple patterns of design & complete 3 sketches correctly! I feel very good about completing this project & more confident about shape & structural support. Thanks, Michael.
