This is the greatest explanation I have heard in seven years of trying to understand values, all I have ever heard is "if you get your values right you have got it made...Get your values right, have three to five values and get them right" I don't think YouTubers want you to know this info so you will keep coming back to their channel!!! Thank you Morgan!!!

Spent considerable time on numerous attempts, feel as good as I can on this. Still feel the ear is too small and off some how. I feel like I am far behind on the course. Anyway ready to move on.

Hey Morgan I have been trying freehand drawing the portrait numerous times, haha with difficulty when I stumbled upon the fact that I am right handed and the portrait is facing to my right, when I flipped it facing to the left the drawing came astoundingly easier! Is this a reality or just a bad excuse? I am really enjoying these challenges.

Well I went a little overboard, but I did realize there are a multitude of landmarks to measure the angles and different tilts to bring about a more accurate drawing. I liked this exercise very much and I gained knowledge.

Tried to show tilts and angles from different various anchor points, eyeballed the curves.

I am looking forward to this course, I am 67 years old and have tried to paint a portrait about 12 times, all horrible! I am not gonna lie the charcoal was difficult for me to use. You sir are an amazing artist and I am going to benefit GREATLY!
