Asked for help
Is art school worth it. I'm thinking of not going and just getting a night job while I practice art in the day mainly because I'm not sure if I can afford it or get good teaching. As of now my options are go in debt, get a bad teaching,or no degree at all. To elaborate on the second choice I can go to my brothers colleges as I have a high chance of affording it but the stuff I want to do there they can't teach well. I saw the instructors and their art and even saw how they teach and I knew it was not for me. I wasn't engaged or cared it was the first time I ever saw art teaching done badly tbh. So I don't know what to choose. I'm not sure if I can get a job or make it without a degree. I don't know if I can even get a job I want with no degree. I've honestly been unsure for months and I only have a few months to make a decision since I have to apply in November. What should I do any tips will help at all.

I think you made the shadow side to dark. Compare to yours and the pic the shadow side has some more lighter tons on the eye then the one you put.

Imo just watch the Tim Gula vids on the channel. They should be on youtube but he explains the bibliography very well. Something to keep in mind is how most of the time the road to mastery is the road to the fundamentals. Look at his drawings analyze them and hear what he says. You'll get a strong bibliography. For example one his rhythms seem to follow the main direction of what he fells it's going. Most highlighted by the rhythms of his arms and torsos. There're more but I think it's easy for you to find them. Just remember learning doesn't have to come from books. Study you subjects you want to learn and analyze how it feels.
