I personally do not find it irritating. Mixing up the brushes is a good way to avoid the monotonous and repeating patterns of digital brushes.

Hello! My name is Josiah. I'm a marketing & design professional, but I've always had the secret desire to be an illustrator. For me, art has always been one of the ways to bring my imagination to life - to take something from my head and communicate it outside. Most recently I have been trying to improve my understanding of anatomy, starting with the head and face.

It has been nearly 3 years since I regained a practice of art in my life. Every year, I have done a self-portrait to try and capture where I am currently in my art journey. I have spent this past year studying the head and face with reference studies, and I think that effort really shows in my latest self-portrait!
