I love it ! Line quality looks so good. What medium it that? It caught my attention cause I've been practicing inking 😁 Keep it up and keep sharing <3

Hi thank you! I used hard tip pens and then I decide which lines to "enhance" with a brush pen. I do it to make the pose more dynamic, the lines I enhance are usually the ones that are closer to the viewer point of view, and the ones that make the pose more dynamic, like sharp curves. Hope this helps

Hi @ITAI WEINBERG , very cool drawing! Good pose, cool design, very good inking. Just a comment to the sword: This is not a good way to hold a sword. One "failure" is how your character places his hands on the sword handle, because they are too close together. Maybe this is not the sword of your hero? The sword handle seems to be too long too. Your technical skills are already very strong. So I propose that you are studying more references to get some knowledge "behind the scenes". Most people will not care or notice subtle things like this, but there are always some nerds who will groan ...

Yeah you're correct, thank you for the great feedback! The part I always have trouble with is two handed weapons, because this is when to hands meet. Happy to say I got a lot better at it

Hi! The design is good overall it might just need a small push, I will try my best to give you my take for each of the things you said you struggle with. I think to make him more manly you should it a real small amount of complexion and wrinkles to his face he looks a bit two clean, but very little to not make him look old. try experimenting with the same face in a lot of ways and shapes. 2) try to look on references of how Viking kings used to look like, it would inform your decisions a lot more. 3) I think what the design misses for me the most is the pose, he needs a more interesting silhouette, most of the best character designs are recognizable if you will feel they shape in black, like homer Simpson and even Geralt the Witcher (the two swords on his back). 4) for the clothes, try to search how the materials of the Viking clothes look like in real life, and then try to draw this clothes until you feel like you understand how to convey them. My teacher taught me to look on how things look in real life and then explore different ways to put them on paper.

Thank you so much for the feedback. I will surely incorporate your tips in my design.

those are incredible! I would want to see more poses but really other than that this looks extremely professional and well made, most definitely will play this if it was a video game!

Yes, other poses would be fun to make for sure. Unfortunately, concepts are usually on a deadline, and all efforts need to be spent making sure that all necessary information is there with as much clarity as possible for the 3d artist who handles the next leg of the asset pipeline. The only other pose that could be added that would aid in this is a profile cutaway, but that is really down to your 3d artist's preferences.

@ITAI WEINBERG , those are pretty cool. The sheet with the 4 characters, they (not sure why) remind me of the dudes -- Frank, Mac, Dennis, and Charlie -- from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I don't know if that' a thing or not that you were going for, or maybe it's just me, but either way it's freaking awesome. I love these characters 👍

Hey @ITAI WEINBERG! Nice work! Love the variation and playfulness of the characters- there's also a retro feel I get from your drawing style. Also sorry- I just assume every post here is for feedback! I did a paintover focused on proportions. I already like the designs so I think adjusting for correctness and also exaggerating the character is a natural next step. But all the notes are in the image attached! Thanks for sharing these guys!

Hi, thank you very much for the constructive feedback! I actually improved the gnome since he felt a bit outdated to the skills I have now. Still have a lot of room to improve

To whomever artist who will criticize my portfolio, I want to say that I have always been a fan of your work, and that I love everything you’ve ever done and that you’re a beautiful person. I say this even without knowing which artist will judge my work because my mom told me flattery will get you everywhere in life. I’m posting some of the drawings I’ve made for my animation school portfolio. It's a detective noir in which all the characters within are toys, it’s like a gritty version of Toy Story. My goal is to one day be an animator, but overall I just want to be someone who creates stories through my art.

D&D Characters
Hello people! Me and my friends used to play dungeons and dragons together, and of course since I was the artist of the group I was tasked with being the "art department". I loved doing this since it brought the characters from our imagination to life. Hope you enjoy
