week 61: I did the same thing every day this week: -Some warmups -1 Notan Study -5 Gesture drawings (1 minute or 2 minute per gesture) -1 Assignment from the 30 days challenge -1 quick sketch of a cartoon character as fun/ cooling down :)

That value tool looks awesome. The gesture drawing /timer tool and the skelly app are also great. All of those should be featured much more prominently on the website. I bet half the people using the site don't even know about them and to me they are real USPs for proko.com. Super useful. (https://www.proko.com/timer for those who are unaware. Lets you select any reference pack you purchased on proko.com, define how many pictures from which packages you want to use for a session and how long each image shall be shown before switching to the next. Makes it super easy to create a gesture drawing session.)

Yes! I didn't even know about the timer :) Thanks for pointing that one out!

Week 60: Continued with the value notan studies. Also did some longer gesture drawings and I've started the 30 day drawing challenge by Marc Brunet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5AV42mgAe0&t=340s For fun some masterstudies. I think I did a lot of work this week!
@prymitywizm
Master studies for fun? That is bold :D

Week 59: Continued with the drawings fundamental course. Starting with the values section. Created some value scales this week and done some Notan studies. For the fun part, I did some copy studies of Scott Pilgrim and Primal :)

Great stuff! I like the ear studies the best out of all the drawings. I think you are making some typical beginner mistakes, which is fine, we've all been there :) In your portraits you often use "symbols" instead of how things actually look like. This is most noticeable in the eyes where you draw these almond shapes with a circle in it. But a real eye looks different. really try to observe what you draw. Draw what you actually see, not what you think you see. Also you try a lot of stuff, (portraits, values, perspective, shading) which is good, but you might concentrate in the beginning on some basics: improving you lines and drawing basic shapes. I can recommend Stan's "Drawing basics" course which will help you with that. A free alternative is Draw a box, that one will help you with your lines and shapes greatly. Hope this helps!

Well, and I got a new life goal: to deserve a critique longer than 5 seconds :-D I have to send more drawings and make more interesting mistakes next time.

Excuse me Mr. Teacher .. didn't you tell us to make it in 3 point perspective? Also ... why do I feel like the proportions of your boxes are a bit ... wonky? ^^
