Just posting some works to share! Weird that you’re limited to 10mb size on an art site…
By a show of ink and paint covered, pencil callused hands who's here to learn to be a writer?
Hey, guys! Sorry in advance if this next question is a silly one - in my defense I haven't drawn traditionally in a while haha - Stan mentions 300lb bristol paper, can anyone drop a link to an example of it? When I google it, pretty much all the results I get are for 100lb paper. I'm a bit confused
I have an affiliate link below for Strathmore 300 Bristol 100lb paper, 11x17 is standard comic art size, tape bound or board bound option doesn’t matter much, tape bound is cheaper, David Finch seems to prefer Smooth, Jim Lee prefers Vellum texture, all available below.

No worries, I got you man. You don’t need 300lb, which does exist but it’s overkill for this , especially at this stage. Strathmore “300 series” Bristol will be perfect this. It’s 100lb/260gsm, it loves ink, and it’s affordable. If you want to splurge on 300lb paper that is out there like Arches, Legion, Canson, and Strathmore all make 300lb variants. They cost more, and just aren’t necessary, I don’t know why Stan is recommending at this point other than it is technically much stronger paper. Maybe if you absolutely flooded your 100lb with ink there could be an issue, but very unlikely. Any other questions just ask.
