Very nice, looks like a good starting place to me. Careful with the values, your line down the pear is darker than the cast shadow (making 6 values)

Level zero skill level person here. I’m amused by my brain’s immediate reaction to this assignment…Run away! :-)
I've been drawing for a while and still found this one to be a challenge. The only way "out" is "through" and you have to be willing to be bad before you can get good. Like @Rui Pedro said -- just start with a circle with a square shape on top. You can do it!
I’ll try to simplify to the bare minimum, and work from there. A bare minimum being a circle with a cilinder on top.
Daunting but fun once you start most definitely. After a stagnation period of not trying to um art I'm again having some fun with it again. :D
