The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman is I think one of the best written sci-fi fantasy stories out there. I immediately picked this book when I saw this challenge as it remains one of my all time favorites. Here is my final full cover as well as some closeups for details.

I really like the traditional scratchy feel of the black in the mountains, plus the clock design is really appealing. But personally at first glance the cursive type font was hard for me to read and I feel like the background mountains between the two characters at the right destroy the silhouette. But all in all good work!
