just want to say — this whole class has been fantastic. I learned so much and there's so much from it I'll take with me to my daily practice and beyond. Thank you for all your thoughts and insightfulness @Steven Zapata

My level 1 and 2 assignments. It's hard to tell a seal from a sea lion.= = Seals more cute?

This is mainly a question from the Figure Drawing Fundamentals class, but applies across the board, as I just saw Ryan talk about a similar concept in the penciling textures segment of the Marvel class — the idea of keeping it loose, not letting our figures look stiff. I know starting with a gesture drawing and not losing sight of that is a big part of this, but what happens when we've done that and the drawing is still stiff? What's a good technique to correct stiffness in a figure drawing? It seems so impossible to figure out where exactly in the drawing itself the stiffness is; like it's so much vibes, but how do you fix vibes? Lots of practice, yes, and adhering more closely to the initial gesture drawing along the way, but I mean once you're looking at an almost finished piece.
Hope that makes sense! And thanks for all these classes, they are a pleasure!
