Here are a bunch of one minutes I did today. I would appreciate any critiques since I’m really looking to improve. Cheers!

Great gesture and proportions!

Hi @Nuria Pairo, These are really nice! It´s like I can feel them moving on the page. You seem to have a strong grasp of gesture! I think the shapes could be designed in a way to help the gesture even more. In your first image for exampel, the thigh is drawn with symmetrical contours which stiffens the pose a little. I would recommend checking it out Mike Mattesi´s force drawing series where talks about this https://www.proko.com/lesson/improving-line-quality-and-rhythm-force-series-part-1/discussions Hope this helps :)

This is my first attempt at the figures from the videos. I find the knees most confusing and the constructions lines get lost in areas with overlapping forms. Any comments or suggestions on what I should pay more attention to?

I feel like you really excel at making the figures feel like they have volume! What does bother me about these are the proportions, try and study what sizes the body parts are compared to one another. I feel this most in the arms, you are making them really long or really skinny, which makes them feel a bit out of place. What really helped me was studying the skeletal structure and the muscles on the body, so that I know what’s happening beneath the surface. I hope this is helpful to you!

Hi Jon and hi everyone, totally excited about this art community thing. I really struggle with color, value and rendering to a specific level. Any advice, Tipp, Tutorial or whatever are totally welcome, please help, kiss kiss and much love!

Hi there! Are these digital? Because if so a really helpful thing to do to visualize values better is adding a black layer with the color blending mode at the top of your piece. This will make you artwork be in black and white, therefore helping you see where you lack contrast easier! (I am sure this is possible in both procreate and photoshop, not sure if in other drawing apps too) I feel the first one looks very great, but the second one lacks contrast. Don’t be afraid of adding really dark and really light tones to your art! It really helps make it pop. Good luck with your artwork! You’re doing great already
