Are there any recommendations on where to find good images for practice?

You can take lots of side view pictures of yourself, or someone else, and try to draw them out. Or, you can google one up and copy it.

Hi, fellow Proko-students! Question about general proportions when using the Loomis method. Does the rule of thirds also apply on the width of the face? I find it challenging when doing the 3/4 view drawing. Thank you for helping me out!

You can try it out by taking a picture of someone in 3 quarters view, and measure it out.

I think that the lines under the hat should be darker, and the forehead should be darker, too. Not bad at all.

Drawing the Loomis head in various angles helped me understand how a head turns in space. The heads aren't a consistent size and they are sketchy.

Some front + side view heads!

Remember, proportions. Some faces are a bit squashy, and the the one on the bottom left corner has a jaw that goes too inward. Otherwise, great!

Good work, but are you sure the spot next to the ear is that light?

To be honest, I was a bit frustrated when I tried to paint humans the first time, that is why i stuck to landscapes. But when i saw that Proko 2.0 has launched I thought it would be a great time to challenge myself to try it out! This is my third attempt, i tried making my own brush for this one and i gotta say i learned a lot on this one. I did not look at any instructions for the features of the face and my focus was definetely on the placement of features and on value. Any crituque would be appreciated :)

Great Job! I think that the left eyebrow is a bit too curved, and high. The ears are bit small. Otherwise, good work!

He was purposely getting the circle wrong. He got a perfect circle on the 5th try!

Hello everyone! This is my first post. I don´t know if it is right to use this space for showing finished work but I would like to show my recent artworks based on what I learned from this course. Please feel free to critique my work. Have a great day! Greetings from México.

It's really good. My favorite is the first and second one.
