What software do you use? Or recommend to beginners, medium and advanced digital artists?
Any suggestions to improving when someone has VERY little time to draw each day (10-20 minutes)?
I'm continuously observing your brush are it's geainy. Is there any particular reason why you prefer that??
idk how much longer you guys have left...Do you think ahmed can try going over how to navigate your way through the colour wheels in digital? I can do okay with traditional since I don't use many colours, but, you have a near infinite amount with digital. I get lost real quickly. Thanks! Not sure if that's clear enough.
How did you learn perspective and made it intuitive? I know how to technically make a correct scene with a correct grid (with the visual ray method) but don't know how to practice perspective so that I develop an intuitive sense for it. Do I just draw a million boxes until I feel comfortable? If so, what should I be thinking about while drawing those volumes (horizon line, vanishing points) or just focus on making them look correct?
Thank you.
Hey yall! I took art seriously at 18 and I'm 20 now. Since then I've been drawing and studying constantly, every single day, some days for more than 14 hours. I'm so focused and determinated to get into animation industry, maybe in 5 or 6 years. I'm afraid that my hard work will get to nowhere because I'm not an US resident. Do you think I still have a chance in some years if I keep working that hard? I'm passionate and ambitious, but depressed thinking that I will sacrifice all these years for nothing, because of the location, culture and social differerences.
when you do a clean line art on a very detailed drawing, how do you not get bored and keep the line art consistent throughout?
How do you build your own color library/palettes? I have trouble figuring that out, because I don't know what I like about color on pictures of my favorite artists and putting this into my rendering process. (Maybe I'm just doubting my design sense.)
How do I tell that my piece is 'good'?
Hi Kristian, same question from last livestream with Steven: as a designer which is your favourite theme park? And as a visitor? Cheers
Question ## Every time I paint in color skin tone end up lifeless, I'm trouble to deals with color what solution should I do???
The very first step to learn concept art is painting or drawing (like the how to draw by Scott Robertson)? Do you have some recommendation?
James! I loved your Moon Tooth interview. Steven Zapata dropped in his last livestream that he was listening to funk (Jungle). What music are you all listening lately to get a creative kick? Thanks~
Hi, what are your thoughts on Industrial Design? Gonna major in it and I heard many concept artists have an education in it. (I think Scott Robertson is one of them.)
1 How to reconcile your personal and professional art?
2 how do you deal with procrastination?
hi guys, what do you think is the thing we should focus on the most when drawing a portrait?
TLDR: How to transition from editorial/film to character concept artist & how much time is given to turn around any work?
I've been freelancing for a little bit - 3-5 years? I don't know how to define it neatly.
Anyhow - that's largely been editorial and movie posters. Nothing crazy - some nice indie films.
I want to make my way to games - particularly character/creature/prop/weapon concept art.
I've been building my portfolio for such - but is there any tips you can give someone who wants to transition between these fields?
One thing in particular I would like to know - for a good reference to practice by - how much time is given for any work to be produced?
What you guys reccomend when designing a personal portfolio project? How you do brainstorming?
