Don't have Photoshop so I used Clip Studio Paint, thankfully the brush pack imported over nicely. For the demo reference I stuck to using the provided brushes, but for the Jeremy Allen White one I also used the "Gouche" brush that comes with CSP. Followed the same process for both.
Really enjoyed this demo - having a loose and experimental process feels really freeing, and led me to some interesting and fun accidents. I didn't capture the colors, expressions, or proportions of the references as well as I had hoped, but they still managed to be recognizable and coherent, plus I had a great time with them.
Loving Marco's teaching style, and the long-form demos are extremely helpful for newbies like me. Looking forward to the rest of the course!
Have been learning how to draw only with pencil and ink and have recently focused on progressing and portraits. Followed several courses on Proko. The last one on initiation to digital painting from @Marco Bucci pushed me to try my old pencil tablet from Wacom with GIMP and follow along. I am actually surprised by the result: new medium, never worked with color…
any feedback welcome. Personally not too happy with the reflected light under the chin
color is the least of your problems. you need to work on basic proportions. good luck
