Digital or physical resources and references...

Hey all, Just curious, do you prefer digital or physical learning resources and references? I had previously just been using digital material books and videos etc, but since picking up a few hardcover books recently there is just something I prefer in having physical material to work from and I'm working to build my 'library,' to go alongside the Proko courses here :) Dan

As for books, these are practically the only ones I still buy in paper because I find it immense handly to have them open on my desk and to be able to flip through them quickly in case I need them while I'm drawing. Having a PDF or an ebook is not as convenient for me, plus it takes up valuable RAM that I prefer to devote to the drawing program.

For books in general, I've always preferred physical. I'm much more likely to casually thumb through a physical art book (for example, when eating or relaxing in the evening), than a digital book. Some of it is probably because I already spend so much time at a computer/on my phone, it's just nice to get away. I also use my computer to display all of my reference/inspiration images when working (plus usually a tab or two open from the Proko anatomy course) so having physical books keeps my screen from getting too crowded.

I think mostly for me was just draw a lot from observation and imagination. You see stuff, and you do what your mind's about. Initially for me was some pinterest stuff when I first realized art was supposed to be a "thing". Then it linked from there. Books and other art sites also helped, but ultimately I think mostly helped me is just drawing a lot
