This was the best one yet, really enjoyed the process and because we drew all those lines that represent different parts of the face I could see why you were putting shadow and lights in certain places

I think I enjoy the structural style over the visual so far.
I was trying to keep up with the drawing in the video and really try to understand why he put each stroke in as I followed along, sometimes I understood but other times I was at a complete loss on why he put certain lines in

Asked for help
i didn’t have the photo of the reference you used so I decided to use a different one and challenge myself. This was a really good exercise, I think I could have taken it further still and there are definitely more adjustments I could have made but I think it came out alright, also I find it easier to see mistakes after I’ve taken a photo of my sketchbook

This is a lot of fun, really like the block in style so far and I can see myself spending a lot of time on the details

Really like what Ryan did with his quick references and made them into a comic page, so I decided I’d give that a try, I enjoyed how much creativity comes from inventing a scene and a story behind what you put down

Wanted to do a block in with shapes for this one like Stan did in the live stream, instead of markers I used a digital round brush for everything, ran out of time before I could finish but it was finally starting to come together :)
I did 5 3min and 1 30 min for this exercise, this was rough, in 3 minutes I could get anything down, I’m quite happy with the 30 min though and this was a lot of fun, I think I’ll start more expressions now, it was good to get out of my comfort zone

Had just enough time to do these 2 20 min references, because they said to use a marker I tried to use the draw a box method on these figures
