At first I was intimidated by your advanced skill and thought I might be in the wrong course but I now value your input as we progress. Glad for all those advanced artists sharing the journey with me.

I think you misunderstood the assignment because your drawing lacks value shapes.

Dang this is cool

This is wonderful. Your line quality is great already. The places I think you'll be able to improve the most are shading (values and edges) and shape design. With this one specifically the edge work jumps out at me. There are areas that could really use some softer edges and less contrast. For example the furrow between his bottom lip and chin is so sharp and high contrast that it almost looks like his lip crease is frowning. Also the contour of his jaw on the left. Both of these could use a variety in sharp, form and soft edges instead of sharp all around.
