I decided to do a ‘full’ under drawing for this one. Any comments on shadow patterns would be appreciated, as the reference has a ton of ambient light making it flat so I had to invent quite a bit to get some interesting shadows 😊 good luck guys

I started yesterday, this is my first self portrait painting. Any tips on how to make it look as real and organic as possible? I don’t have the money to buy art supplies right now, so I need to get a similar look on digital. Thanks for the help 😊

Ditto the advice from paper - I think you're off to a good start! The shadows and face anatomy look good so far. The textured canvas helps - makes it look like an oil painting.
Honestly the way you paint it digitally,already look like watercolor.So my only tip is keep going and finish it :D
