Okay I mainly ended up focusing on hierarchy of importance with these. I also mixed up biro and fountain pen. I am happy to get these in after struggling to find time the main issue being just getting started! I am leaving pens and paper in all areas of the house to help XD…. And onwards!
Great character coming through on the first page especially! Jumping right out of the page xD

I couldn't decide on the animal, so I chose my kids favorite animals; a bunny and an owl. And tried to create a mix of two, an owlbunny. :) I used one page to try to plan out the mix, and the second page for a full page sketch. The head was a bit difficult to pull off, but I'm feeling good about how it turned out.

Okay, just got stuck on this one! In the spirit of moving on I just picked out a few of the sketches that I have done over the last couple of weeks I could stay doing this exercise over and over but I know there is so much more I need to get onto lol. Can anyone relate? The question is when to move on!? The more I draw the more I see I need to learn. Hope you’re have a great time out there drawing :)
Yeah this is something a really relate to, and it sucks. What helps me is, doing the project a couple of times, moving on, and then I come back a couple weeks later, or when I really feel I need it, but of course that can be really hard to accurately gauge. Also keep in mind that even though you aren't focusing the that specific skill if you are you are incorporating it in your drawing process you are improving! You have great line quality so I wouldn't worry about it too much!
Hi Ewan, I can relate to that. I usually stop when I get the feeling that I start to repeat my proces. Then I look at the work and try to find out what I want to improve.
Whoo Hoo! By Jove, you’ve got it! The Cowboy Mouse with the Luger is an easy winner, but my favorite is the Artist Mouse sketching with it’s little bottom up in the air (because who hasn’t found themselves in that position when sketching?!).
So yeah, go and move on. Heck, you can still keep playing with the little guys. It’s not like you’re doing classwork ‘all’ the time.
It’s hard to tell from all the way over here, but remember to draw those big, relaxed strokes from the shoulder (or maybe elbow), and not the wrist and knuckles. But now I’m nitpicking.

This was fun! I’m struggling with lines that move down the page towards me … and as well certain curves. Tempted to move the page round to accommodate although nervous about loosing perspective. I also wonder if I move to much like there’s a bit of nervous energy about it. Anyways am loving it and learning a lot :)
