Use what you learned to create your own proportion chart.

  1. Mark Out Your 8 Sections:
Make a chart dividing the figure into eight equal parts, from the head to the pelvis.
  2. Detail Upper Body:
Divide the upper sections into thirds to accurately place the rib cage.
  3. Add Main Body Parts:
Draw the head, rib cage, and pelvis, considering how they align with the spine.
  4. Sketch Limb Positions:
Outline the legs with simple lines to show their direction.

Deadline - submit by Feb 16, 2025 for a chance to be in the critique video!

Is the goal here to memorize the proportions? And are we meant to be able to do this from memory?

Been awhile since I did a Proko lesson. I’m a little bit confused about the size of the ribcage. I measured it out to the lengths of two heads but it seems wide to me. I’ll be going over the critique video next.

Fun assignment! I usually draw digital but thought it would be nice to do this on paper. Helped me be more patient.

This is me going over the assignment again . I love it , the human skeletal form is beautiful . I did look at reference pics as well . It helped where i had no memory clue as to what fit where . Critique welcome and thank you .💜

Hello everyone Here's my submission... What a great instructor you are Mr Hampton... Thank you. The half's and thirds really worked for me, I tend to complicate things for myself 😅 I'm excited for the next lessons...

They say third time’s the charm. So I tried drawing four times. Proportions still a bit off especially the width

nice!

Second time through. Pelvis looks too square in profile compared with my imagined shape. Gesture of head? Somewhat out of proportion, but nice for an alien!

First run through with notes. Doing another from memory will be helpful.

That's some grade A note taking there. Trying to find the time to convert my notes into flashcards and see if that helps me remember the proportions better.

This is my first attempt, I have to practice more until I feel more comfortable doing this chart and get it memorized, it has been a lot of fun.

I Don’t completely understand the human anatomy, but I do understand the idea of it especially with this assignment! what helps me memorise those ideas, I use mnemonics, just has Patrick Jones does. The doorknob idea helps! 😎
