added comment inProject - Value Scales
Asked for help
The project is harder than I expected, keep going back and forth to adjust the value for graphite. Used HB and 7B to do it, the dark side of the scale is really difficult, I got confused about 0 (darkest) and 1.
Tried some new tools coz I think I am going to use them in the future. A fine liner and procreate. How do you present a value 0-10 when ink is pure black...?
Also tried airbrush in Procreate, I knew there were other ways to do value assignments digitally, but I really wanted to figure out the airbrush mechanism. Does anyone have experience using it? It just kept creating this stain-like effect...
By the way, I love the new update on proko web

This looks really cool, and before I say anything I want to mention I'm far earlier into the Drawing Basics course then you are, so my opinion may be less valuable. I really like the line weight for most of the drawing, and how the brush obviously has hierarchy over everything else, but to me the sheer difference in heaviness between the brush and the foot make them look disconnected. So I would try to add some sort of flow and ease into the heaviness in the brush's line weight. Of course line weight is subjective so if you think it looks better that way then that's also fine!

Hey Brandon,
I like the concept of your drawing, very surreal. What I noticed is that the torso is too short and the head is too big. Also, you need to have more foreshortening in the limbs, especially the legs. I did a sketch to show you what I mean, I hope it helps :)

Personal Drawing Critique16d
Hello everyone, I am a student taking the Drawing Basic course. Now we are moving on to the value section. Just before all those complicated things are taught, I once again try to come up with a character and apply all the things I have learned so far. I also watched some anatomy videos b4 this drawing
Could you please critique based on 1. interesting? 2. Anatomy? 3. Perspective? 4. Others, like proportion? Coz figure is complicated, and I want others pt, of views.
Thank you very much

Perspective is 600 years old, and technological inventions changed people's styles of drawing, and water actually has perspective, OMG. That s so much interesting info and artists in one lesson. What a good start. Thank you very much, Marshall

My line master studies. I think the Glen Keane and Jeff Watts were the most fun. Any critique would be appreciated!
