basically I'm wanting to learn to ink a drawing so I can improve my skills as a illustrator.

@Lucas Peinador has a great video on inking in Procreate! Lucas also has some great brushes available, but the stock inking tools in Procreate are a great place to start. All of the stock inking brushes have the Streamline feature which he covers to help smooth your lines a bit.
