Here's my attempt for Level 1. I struggled with the foreshortening in these poses, especially with the second hand.

This assignment was easily the most challenging for me so far. Definitely want to tackle a lot more references before moving on.

Nice job, Aiden! I found this one challenging as well. While I will definitely circle back around and do this lesson repeatedly, I've been pushing on with the other lessons. I think the benefit of that is that I'm getting a better understanding of what lessons need to become part of my regular drawing regimen. And there's a lot I need to work on. Drawing is hard.

Master Study of Roberto De La Torre after watching the demo. It was tough trying to emulate the thick lines made from ink with my 0.5mm mechanical pencil. As Stan suggested, I tried to construct thicker lines by going through them multiple times. The hair was fun to draw and it really emphasized the importance of practicing confident strokes.

Master Study of Jeff Watts before watching demo. Most of the time was spent trying to get all of the proportions correct which I realize needs much more work. Looking at Jeff's work, I felt the lines were loose and sketchy, yet precise and confident at the same time; a true sign of a master. I had lots of fun doing this project!

My attempts for the camel and skull after watching the demo
Aiden Yoshida
The first attempt is before watching the demo, and the second attempt is after. For my first attempt, I only used a mechanical pencil (HB) and for the second I used different pencils (HB, 2B, 4B, 6B). I do notice the difference in the lighter values and my lack of technique in applying even pressure throughout the values, especially in the second attempt.
