Objective:

Create a life-size clay sculpture of the hand bones to enhance understanding of hand anatomy.

Steps:

1. Study Hand Bones: Learn about the carpals (wrist), metacarpals (palm), and phalanges (fingers).
2. Use the Halves Method: Divide the length from the wrist to the middle finger tip to find segment ends and knuckle positions.
3. Sculpting:
   • Start with the simplified forms of the carpals.
   • Sculpt the metacarpals with attention to their curvature.
   • Detail the phalanges focusing on joint flexibility and movement.

Tips:

• Focus on bone shapes rather than textures.
• Use silhouettes to establish basic shapes from different angles.
